Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Cardinal while we road-test it with working vendors.

Last updated 13 August 2026

Who we are

Cardinal is software for collectible vendors, operated from New Zealand. These terms are an agreement between you and Cardinal covering the marketing site, the waitlist and the app.

Access during private testing

Cardinal is currently in private testing. Access is granted by invitation, may be limited or withdrawn, and features can change or be removed while we road-test the product with working vendors.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your login details secure, and for anything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Your data and your stock

You keep ownership of the inventory, purchase, trade and sales records you enter. You grant us permission to store and process that information so we can run the service for you.

Pricing information is an estimate

Market values, target buy prices, margins and ROI figures in Cardinal are estimates built from third-party sources such as marketplace sold listings and price feeds. They are not appraisals or financial advice. You are responsible for the prices you pay and charge.

Payments

Where Cardinal helps you take a payment, the payment itself is processed by a third-party provider under their own terms. Any card surcharge you choose to pass on to a buyer is your decision and your responsibility under the rules that apply to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use Cardinal to break the law, to sell counterfeit or stolen goods, to scrape or overload the service, or to interfere with other users. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Cardinal available and accurate, but the service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost deals or indirect losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Ending your use

You can stop using Cardinal at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may end access if these terms are breached or if we stop offering the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. If a change is significant we will let invited vendors know by email before it takes effect.
